The foundation of Nashville rock band MODOC first took shape around the campus of Ball State University in Muncie, Indiana. After quickly exhausting their options in the local music scene, the group raised their sights towards Nashville, permanently relocating to “Music City” in 2011. The four-piece outfit put out the raw, guitar-drenched Fortune & Fame album shortly thereafter, spawning a video for their song "Coward" generating industry buzz around town.

In 2012, ABC picked up MODOC’s unreleased "Devil On My Shoulder" track for the network television series, 666 Park Avenue. Although the show was canceled after the first season, “Devil On My Shoulder” made its official debut on the band's self-titled MODOC (released 8/27/13). Most recently, MODOC has been named Fox Sports Band of the Month; featuring MODOC's music in all Fox Sports channels and programming. As MODOC moves out of the Fox promotion in mid-January, CBS will be using “Devil On My Shoulder” in their new primetime show Reckless.

In addition to the current digital album, a special expanded CD version w/ bonus tracks was also released, with a limited-edition vinyl LP due in January 2013.

After signing with Nashville-based Zavitson Music Group, MODOC hit the road, landing several major 2013 festival appearances, including SXSW, Milwaukee's Summerfest, St. Louis’ Loufest, Cincinnati’s Midpoint Music Festival and the Nashville Dancin' concert series, among others. Upcoming dates in 2014 include the band’s first overseas tour.

In October, MODOC was selected as the featured daily artist on the popular music discovery app Band Of The Day (second only to Instagram as iTunes’ App of the Year in 2011) and in December, the band will release a special Daytrotter session. For more info, visit or

MODOC is a Rock n Roll band: Clint Culberson (vocals, guitars), Kyle Addison (lead guitar, vocals), and John Carlson (drums, vocals).
