The Carrell Family's Ahava Springs Bluegrass Gospel Festival Fall 2013
We are hosting a two day Bluegrass Gospel festival Friday Sep 13 and Saturday Sep 14, 2013.
The gates open at noon on Friday with bands playing 5pm-9pm and Saturday the bands go from 10am-5pm, afterward we will have a good old pickin' session until...
We have several bands scheduled to perform including: The Bama Blu-grace, Teddie Cox, Elisabeth Cannon, the Wright Family, the Crain's Nest, the Carrell family, the Cook Family, Mary Scott and the Gospel Highway, the Schreibers and more. We are suggesting a donation of $5 Friday and $10 Saturday for ages 16 and up. Don't let the suggested donation stop you – it is truly a donation. We are just trying to cover our costs. Food vendors will be on site with greens and beens, BBQ, cakes/pies, etc. Handicap parking and restroom is available.
Bring your lawn chairs, but not your pets. There will be local vendors on site with handmade crafts, etc. Any proceeds after the band costs will go toward the development of Ahava Springs - a facility promoting Biblical leadership and families (Ezra 8).
We are located at 1040 Sumatanga Road in Gallant, AL.
For the Musicians:
Bring your instruments. We will have an open stage time during lunch. Based on the number interested and time permitting, we will select a limited number to perform on stage.
See Isaac Carrell when you arrive and arrange with him. After the bands finish, we will have an open time of pickin' for everyone to play. You are also more than welcome to gather and have small picking sessions during the band time, but I ask that you keep out of the hearing range of the bands performing on stage.
For the Entrepreneurs:
If you make something or sell something and are interested in having a booth or table to sell your stuff, please call me in advance and let me know. We have a food vendor but that does not exclude you from selling other food items such as homemade pies, cookies, deserts or some other creative idea (call me 256-538-2602). The more the merrier.
I need to know in advance what you would like to sell, so to reserve a spot Call me (256-538-2602) if you have some idea or just want to promote something (ie. ministries, mission work, churches, etc).
And for the Business folks:
We are selling sponsorships for this event - very affordable, starting at just $25. This is the chance to put your name or business in front of a large Christian gathering and most will be local folks. If you are
interested in being a sponsor, please call me 256-538-2602. The prices are right! Due to the current economic situation we have drastically reduced the costs for each level of sponsorship. We call it the Stimulus Package Special! This could be just the thing to boost your business and the local economy.
Here is what the sponsor will get:
Standard level (bad economy), business card advertisement in program, 2 free tickets, mention from stage, was $50, now $25;
Bronze level (business is slow), quarter (1/4) page advertisement in program, 5 free tickets, mention from stage, was $100, now $50;
Silver level (come back later), half page (1/2) advertisement in program, sign prominently displayed at stage, 10 free tickets, mention from stage, was $100, now $75;
Gold level (we'll call you), full page advertisement in program, sign prominently displayed at stage, 20 free tickets, mention from stage, MC ad spot, was $175, now $100
From I59 North-East of Birmingham AL take exit 166 US231 North 3.3 miles toward Oneonta, turn right onto the Gallant road; proceed 3.4 miles, turn right onto Sumatanga road, go 4 miles, Ahava Springs on left.
