Future Primitives: Erase the Future and Hope for Now

By Lee Waites

If the garage is where you keep your X69 Galactic Star Cruiser, these guys are a garage band. The sound is raw psychedelic.

I have to admit being initially drawn to them by their smoking chimp logo. He makes the moon seem like a party to me.

It's rhythmic, it's catchy, sometimes even like space rock-a-billy. Tinny and high, most often with a beat you can dance to, but sometimes slipping into a slow, spacey mood, their upcoming full length album "Erase the Future and Hope for Now" is due to release in early July.

Below are two tracks off the album for your listening pleasure.

Future Primitives are: (left to right)

Daniel Hargett-Guitar/Vocals
Lane Smith-Bass
Casey Hargett-Drums
Justin Todd-Keys/Guitar
Shane Wynn-Lead Vocals
