The Dirty Clergy Announces 2012 Midwest Tour Dates

The Dirty Clergy first formed as a folk duo in 2009 and soon blossomed into a folk-rock 4 piece band in 2010. From coast to coast he band took to the road in support of their folksy, anti-war album "Truth Wars" at the end of 2010. In January/February of 2011 the band chose music guru Gordon Raphael (The Strokes/Regina Spektor) to produce their EP – The Breakdown. 2011 held many bumps in the road for the band. May came and co-founder/frontman/guitarist Tyler Evans exited and the band became a trio, playing many shows around the South. Later in the year drummer Kyle Estes announced he would no longer be playing with the band. This left original members Brian Manasco (Guitar/Vox) and Joshua Pope (Bass/Guitar) to consider their options. The band chose to change their sound and record a full length album. The new sound carries whispers of The Stooges, Alice Cooper, and Muse (to name a few). The album was titled 'Revival' and it was nothing short of that. "Revival" was recorded in a garage known as "Happy Daze Studios" – with Manasco and Pope playing all instruments. Soon after – longtime friend, vocalist Brad White was asked to take over on lead vocals, former drummer Kyle Estes came back to the band and Jesse Evans stood in on bass until February of 2012 – when bassist Michael Pope was introduced as the new bass player. It truly was a revival for The Dirty Clergy. 2012 is lining up to be a spectacular year as the band is planning a 3 part U.S. Tour starting this April.
